Welcome, Bridger Scouts!!

My name is Nick Gallagher, and I have the privilege of serving as your Superintendent for Bridger Schools. I began my tenure here in July of 2024. As I start my second year in the district, I am also serving as the High School Principal. I bring 17 years of experience working in Public Education, and I am committed to putting that experience to work for our students and community.

My family and I moved to Bridger over the summer of 2024. We previously resided in Wyoming for 15 years, but I grew up in the small town of Whitehall, MT, so I am excited to be back in the Treasure State, serving within the supportive community of Bridger.

My wife, Nicole, and I have three wonderful children. Our two boys, Landen and Liam, are currently attending the University of Montana in Missoula. Our daughter, Lily, is a sophomore at Bridger High School, so we are active members of the community daily.

I believe strongly in lifelong learning, and my own educational journey reflects that. I earned my Bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from the University of Nevada, Reno. While teaching in Gillette, WY, I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Ed Leadership from South Dakota State University. Currently, I am in the process of writing a dissertation for my doctoral degree from the University of Wyoming.

Beyond my administrative roles, I am actively engaged in professional leadership organizations at both the state and national levels. I am a strong advocate for life-long learning and am committed to continuous professional growth through reading, podcasts, and meaningful collaboration with colleagues across the profession. Outside of my professional responsibilities, I deeply value time spent with Nicole, beginning and ending each day together, supporting Lily in her pursuits, and being actively involved as Landen and Liam transition into adulthood.
